Aorta Ultrasound Screening
Reserve Your Spot
An aortic ultrasound is a safe, non-radiative scan that evaluates the abdominal aorta, the main artery carrying blood from the heart to the rest of the body. This screening allows us to visualize the vessel clearly and assess for early changes that could affect long-term vascular health. This screening helps rule out: Aortic Aneurysm Enlargement or ballooning of the aorta that may increase the risk of rupture. Aortic Ectasia Early widening of the aorta that can progress if not monitored. Aortic Plaque or Deposits Fat, calcium, or lipid buildup along the aortic walls. Aortic Wall Irregularities Thickening, weakening, or abnormal patterns in the vessel wall. Aortic Dissection Indicators Although rare, ultrasound can help detect warning signs of vessel wall separation. Flow Disturbances or Turbulence Abnormal blood flow patterns suggesting underlying vascular changes. Aortic ultrasound is quick, painless, and completely free of radiation. Your participation helps our students learn while giving our community the gift of awareness through early detection and preventive health education.
