Admissions

To be considered for admission to ADOM, applicants must meet the following Eligibility Criteria.

Once you have completed the ADOM Application for Admission,  you may complete Next Steps below.  

It is preferred that applicants upload all documents simultaneously.

Document Portal

1. High School Diploma or GED

Applicants must have graduated from high school or possess a recognized equivalent (GED). Documentation must include a valid high school diploma, transcript, or an attestation form confirming academic achievement equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma, as defined by the awarding state. Foreign credentials must be translated into English and evaluated by a credential evaluation service to confirm equivalency or higher standing.

2. ​Citizenship Verification | Driver’s License or State ID

Applicants must provide valid, government-issued photo identification showing name and address. Acceptable documents include a current driver’s license, U.S. passport, or Permanent Resident Card. Proof of lawful presence in the U.S. (e.g., valid visa, green card, or employment authorization document) must be submitted along with identity and residency verification documents.

3. Personal Statement / Essay

Applicants are required to submit a personal statement detailing their patient care experience. If no formal clinical experience exists, applicants must write about a personal healthcare experience, such as caring for a loved one. Upload your personal statement or essay to the application portal.

4. Background Check

All applicants must complete a comprehensive background check. Submit the completed Background Disclosure & Authorization Form via the application portal.

5. Written Application

Applicants must complete the official Written Application Form as part of the admissions process. Once finished, upload it to the portal.

6. Applicant Interview Form

All applicants must participate in an interview. In-person interviews are preferred; however, applicants may complete the Applicant Interview Form if unable to attend in person. Upload the completed form to the portal.

7. Drug Screen Results

Applicants must complete a 12-panel drug screening and submit proof of negative results. Testing can be completed at ADOM on the same day as the Wonderlic test or externally, with results uploaded to the portal.

8. Immunization Records

Applicants must submit documentation of: Hepatitis B vaccine doses #1 and #2 Tuberculosis (TB) test within the past 6 months MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) immunity Meningitis vaccination or a signed declination (within 30 days of program start) Serologic evidence of immunity is acceptable for Hepatitis B, MMR, varicella, and Td/Tdap. A one-time Tdap booster is required, followed by Td boosters every 10 years. A two-step TB test is required initially unless prior testing exists, followed by annual one-step tests. Submit the completed Immunization Form or other verification of Immunizations and health clearance upon enrollment via the portal.

9. Pre-Requisites

Applicants must complete foundational coursework in the following areas prior to enrollment:     •    Mathematics     •    Communication (written or oral)     •    Human Anatomy & Physiology     •    Physics Ways to Fulfill These Requirements:     1.    Submit official transcripts showing completion of equivalent college-level coursework with a grade of “C” or higher.     2.    Complete online college-level courses that meet the same standards (ADOM can provide a list of accepted options).     3.    Complete ADOM’s non-core courses, designed as optional, self-paced modules to reinforce key concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, communication, and healthcare math.

10. Letters of Recommendation 1 & 2 (Two Required)

Two letters are required from non-relatives such as teachers, employers, or mentors who can speak to your character, academic strengths, or relevant experiences. Upload both letters to the portal.

11. College Degrees (If Applicable)

Applicants with an Associates or higher degree should submit with their application.

12. College Transcripts (Unofficial)

Applicants who have earned an associate degree or higher should include proof of their degree(s) with the application. Official transcripts are required to have course credit considered for transfer credit evaluation.

13. Resume (Optional)

Applicants may submit a current resume highlighting their educational background, work experience, and relevant skills. Please upload the resume to the portal.

14. Wonderlic Admissions Exam

At ADOM Academy, the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) is one of several factors we consider during the admissions process. While we seek a score of 20 or higher, it is not the sole determinant for acceptance, as we review each applicant’s overall qualifications and potential for success.

15. State or Other Certifications

ADOM Academy welcomes applicants who hold state or other professional certifications. While optional, these credentials are recognized as a plus in the admissions process.

16. Distance Education Readiness 

ADOM Academy requires applicants to demonstrate distance education readiness, ensuring they are prepared to succeed in our online learning environment.

17. Financial Readiness

ADOM Academy requires applicants to demonstrate financial readiness, ensuring they are prepared to meet the tuition and related program costs.
